Glycerine

Does glycerine clog the scalp, making it unable to breath? If so, are there any moisturizing sprays that do not contain this ingredient?

The moisturizing spray that I use contains glycerin and I just spray it on the bottom inch of my hair length and my ends to keep them moisturized. I have used it to soften my new growth in the past, and I didn't have any problems with it clogging my pores or building up on my scalp.

Glycerine is a natural water and alcohol attractor, makes skin look and function better by helping skin cells mature properly. It serves as a humectant, solvent and lubricant in personal care products. It conditions the hair and scalp. I just saw on one website that glycerine does cause haircolor to strip.

You can also buy pure vegetable glycerine from the health or whole foods store. That's where I get mine from. I buy the NOW brand. Not only is it good for your hair and skin, it's warming properties are wonderful for ...well, I'll leave that for the 18+ boards.......

Walgreens carries Rose Water, which, is located in the skin care section near the Glycerin.
