Hello...
you keep your braids in for 3 months! I just got my braids in April 8th and I have to get them redone cause of growth already. I had a appointment for June 8th but now I'm going to get them redone May 19th. What is your braid routine? I was thinking i can go 2 months but I see that I can only last for a month. I have individuals braids. I'm going by the Crown and Glory route but using moisturizing spray. and also I'm not taking any vitimins like she had stated on her site I only take chewable flintstones. I can't swallow pills) and also I know that it's not slippage cause my hair is colred red and all my new growth is black roots. I mean if you see my roots you would think i had my braids in for two months...but it hasn't been a month.
WHat is your advice? and braid routine?

Hi napptural!

Yes...I csn keep braids in for 3 months if I really want to. My hair also grows fast and I have tp redo the edges about 3 times in 3 months for it to stay looking good. When I have braids I don't get them done too small and I rinse the scalp and saturate the length with leave-in conditioner and air dry. Then daily I spray in afrian royale spray and/or sta-sof-fro. This keeps my hair soft and conditioned inside the braids. The hardest part of braids to me is taking them out...be careful to detangle your hair properly before you wash it because it can turn into a big knotty mess if you don;t and you will lose a lot of hair like that.

The way I see it the point of getting braids it to rest your hair and keep your hands out of it....so if you have to be doing the braids over very often it seems better to me to do a style that is easy to do over. I find that individual braids last longer that cornrows and I prefer them by far because they can be styled in different ways.

And when the new growth gets to kicking I just wear a headband or make a bandana into one to match with my outfits and hide the hairline...it's really cute.

Re: The Vitamins....I have MSM..biotin, silica, EPO and a multi....but lord knows I don't take them on a regular basis.

Thats about it!....and I will be braiding again next week and leaving this set in for 3 months till the end of July, then relaxing in August.
