I'm not sure about that one but I've used the regular conair one for a long time. It's not very good.

I wonder how the whole glass plate thing really works though. Glass eventually shatters at high temperatures.

I'm pretty sure that the glass is tempered to withstand the high heat(like Pyrex).I like how it prevents snags and how you can hold the ends of it. I also the the curve on it. Glass is an excellent conductor of heat and super smooth.
This is the first glass plate iron I've ever seen. I know Conair isn't exactly the best of lines, so I am hoping someone else comes out with one soon!

I want it cause it looks cool...I probably wouldn't even use it, I'd just take it out every once and a while to ou and ah at it, it's a nice piece of eye candy
