Giving up the brush

I still have 2 brushes but I never use either of them. I realized that there was a good sized wad of hair left in them after EACH use that I used to attribute to shedding but I finally realized I was ravaging my hair.

I would like to know from others, how did you give up your brush.

Its seems so hard to me to give up my brush since I dont wear my hair down. Its like I have to have it nice and neat when I waer it up. I know that I can moisturize and lye the hair down with a scraf, but I still find myself using the brush.

My hair is a little past my shoulders, but it seem that it would be easier for those that have long hair and those that wear their hair down all the time to give it up vs someone that wears their hair up all the time.

Please help. I would like to give it up, but I just dont know how I can.

If you are a true 4 a/b like myself it might seem hard at first to give up the brush. Try the 100% boars head bristle at first. Then you will find that you use it less and less in due time. You have to see what hair stlyes work for you......I still use the boar head about 10% within the past 6 months.....Just try different styles that doesn't require alot of brushing. And scarfs (silk or satin) help too, to get the edge flat.

Thanks and I never knew my hair type, so you think I am a 4a/b.
