I can no longer do a fro like this ... my hair is too floppy. The last time I tried to do a picked out afro, my hung down instead of up in the air at the top.

Her afro is beautiful! My hair is too nappy and I am too tenderheaded to pick out like that. I got my hair blown out and picked into an afro in a salon once, though. It was huge and amazing. But it hurt so bad that I actually cried.

If I have to use a pick, though, I prefer the ones with metal teeth. But maybe that's because I never had a quality plastic one before. I used to use a pick for detangling.

I'm below bsl and I can still rock a fro. I have some serious shrinkage though. I usually rock a fro puff instead of a loose fro. It works better because my texture in the front is looser than the rest.
