I haven't tried it for this purpose, but I imagine it might work. I'd probably mix it with some water and spray it on the hair, instead of applying a glob directly to dry hair.

This stuff is the bomb for detangling wet hair, though!

Yes, I agree, it is the bomb for detangling wet hair! No matter what stage of my relaxer I'm in that stuff works wonders and it smells nice too. I've never used it on dry hair. If you mean dry as in your hair is dry and you want to use it as a leave in, I strongly recommend it. It drenches your hair in moisture, I can't give you all the ingredients now but a few of them are rosemary oil, and a few other oils. sorry I cant remember them right now but the ingredients are impressive.

It did not work well at ALL when I tried it on dry hair.

I've used it on dry hair before... made my hair feel super greasy; wasn't too pleasant...

maybe if it had been diluted a bit, it would have felt better. I'm not sure.

I've used it on dry hair and I think that it did an ok job. It's best on wet hair, it really locks in the moisture and detangles well but on dry hair it makes my hair feel greasy too.

I've never tried it on dry hair but it works very well on wet hair. It's very detangling.

I use a little bit of S-Curl. It gives me just the right amount of moisture I need and keeps it soft throughout the day.
