Getting a New Stylist- What questions or how much research do you put into it?

SInce being on LHCF, I have a better sense of taking care of my hair. So now I am a little leery of new stylists. I am trying to find a stylist to take care of my natural hair since I am primarirly natural with a few ends of perm left. My best friend told me about this guy in her shop that does natural hair. He says he does both natural and relaxed for about 3 years now.

I think a consultation with him would be a good idea. That way you can tell him about specific things you want and don't want and your objectives...and you can find out his ideas as well and maybe see some pictures. I think a stylist needs to know a client's hair goals from the beginning and ideals like trims, conditioners etc too....

Make sure to bring your questions so you don't forget anything :D
