Gentle Hair Accessories - where to buy?

Hey ladies, I'm interested in getting some pretty hair clips/barrettes that have gentle clasps. The metal ones that come in most barrettes break off my hair. I looked at the tenderheaded website, but they didn't have much of a selection of hair jewelery. Any suggestions? I know that there are vendors on eBay, but can anyone suggest a specific seller of "hair safe" accessories?

Oops, nevermind. I was going to suggest tenderhead, but you're right, the selection is limited.

Softresses had some excellent suggestions on how to make those metal backed barrettes more "hair friendly". hairboutique.com has some really pretty pieces, including hair sticks which are incredibly gentle on the hair.

longlocks.com also has really nice hair jewelry.

France Lux and Ficcare make very gentle accessories of high quality, Argus Designs, DressyTresses, Evita Perone all have some excellent ones as well. Oh and don't forget ebay! They have kits if cool accessories.

However if you see accessories you like you can make them more hair friendly yourself.

I did a post a few weeks ago on ways to choose, accessories and to make them safe for youir hair.

If you like i can bump it for you.
