Gel Twists/Finger Coils Question of the day

Haven't been in this part of the forum in a while. Did gel twists to my hair, for the first time last week and want to know how long do you ladies leave your hair like that?

I ask because I don't want to have to worry about my hair dreading up and am curious how long that process typically takes.

I think this depends on your hair type. When I got them, they were in no more than 2 weeks.

I kept my finger coils in for 30 days and they didn't even start to dread and I have hair that likes to dread. But I also didn't wash it for 30 days obviously. I can keep comb coils or finger coils in for longer than 2 strand twists which I can only keep for 2 weeks before they start dreading together.
