Hey according to the FAQ section on the Garnier website this product's active ingredient is cysteine. That is a mild relaxer though it closer to thio than lye or no lye relaxers. They are toughting this product the same way caribbean dream relaxer is advertised. This is a chemical straightener. It may be very mild but its still a chemical straightener. I bet it doesnt work nearly as good a Rusk anti curl, iso mane tamer, or any of the one n only curl removers. This will not get your hair straight, but it will loosen your texture some. Well, it may loosen your texture depending on your texture.
This is why it is not recommended on relaxed or damaged hair. If you wouldnt put one of those ogilvie temporary hair straighteners in your hair then dont put this in your hair. Technically, your hair should break off and do all sorts of weird things if you place it over relaxed hair. That is not neccessarily true. I've tried it and thio in the past over relaxed hair and my hair is fine. In most cases this is not the case. Please be careful when using this product. If you do plan to continue using it just do touch up rather than over the whole head.
