I would like to post pics in the gallery.I really don't understand as to how you go about doing this. I find it to be confusing ( or maybe it's just me).

Progress...not perfection
Click on Gallery on the menu
Then click "My Albums"
Click "Create a New Album"
Fill in the title info and whether you want it public or private then click "create new album"
You will see the title under "albums".
Click the album name and then you can click "upload" to upload photos(you can pick edit or delete entries there too.) Under upload there will be options to browse for the pics on your pc or disk.
