Funky but Tame-ish hair colour

Ive been thinking about getting some highlights ... in my bangs and under layers

thinking of purple (that's my favourite colour) but at the same time I cant do anything too bright since I do have an office job and they have sent ppl home for outlandish (in their opinion) hair colour.


My cousin, who is an independent consultant just coloured her whole head pink ... sooooo jelly !!!!

If I cant get a shock of purple I can at least live vicariously through pictures.

I love all of them and I would dye mine in a heart beat like the first one, but I'm in a professional environment and I don't think it would be acceptable. You could try for a darker purple (which my only show in the sun) and only a few highlights like pic #3.

You could always do clip ins. That's what I do when I want a pop of color. I make my own clip-ins, I'll attach a pic when I get home.

you see what I don't understand is why blond, auburn, reddish highlights are OK but other colours which are just as bright are frowned upon.

I have made some colorful kinky clip-ins, but unfortunately I don't have a picture of them.

Use eyeshadow. That is what I use when I want pops of color that aren't permanent.

I like them all and if my strands weren't so sensitive I'd bet some purple streaks. I work in a professional environment in San Francisco and the population I work with come from all walks of life so I can get away with this at work. Some days I dress up some I don't.

What kind of eyeshadow? Could I buy just a cheap 99 cent pan of blue or purple eyeshadow from Sally's and rub it into my strands?
