I got invisible braids with wet & wavy hair about two weeks ago and I was trying the CnG method. I have been spritzing my scalp everyday & I washed it last weekend. My problem is that my roots are already beginning to look fuzzy and I'm afraid if I keep spritzing and washing they will look like crap after just 4 weeks. However, the past couple of days I didn't spritz and my scalp is dry because of it.:wallbash:

I did plait the hair and wash it while in plaits. But I wanted to know if anyone else has any recommendations on how I can keep my braids fresh and my scalp moisturized.

I need sum answers too cuse i just put my MICROBRAIDS in couple days ago
wat should i do hopefully YOU TUBE HELP too

Are invisible braids like tree braids?

What's in your spritz and how did you wash? I'm getting senegalese tomorrow so I've been doing a bit of research for the upkeep.

I'm getting senegalse twists tomorrow too. I want to know more about the upkeep.

Do you tie your braids down at night with a scarf? That night help with frizziness....

Yes, I use a satin bonnet.

No invisible braids are more like micros but not braided down as far. I use a glycerin/water spritz then baggy for a couple of hours. As far as washing just braiding the hair and washing in the shower.

I plan to shampoo with dry shampoo every two weeks, spritz daily (or as needed) and sleep with a silk scarf. I'll also get my edges redone every few weeks.

I don't know where you live, so I'm not sure of the weather, but I know glycerin is a humectant that can be largely hit or miss for a lot of women. If you live in a humid area, the glycerin can be attracting the water from the air to your hair, making it frizzy.

Maybe try a dry shampoo? From what I've seen on youtube, a lot of women use a dry shampoo. I've also heard to use Seabreeze astringent on the scalp with a cotton ball.

When you wash, maybe try a spray bottle or applicator bottle and apply it only to the scalp. Massage gently and then rinse with cool water. That way, you won't disturb them as much. And maybe have your edges redone too, like the C&G method suggests.

Why don't you try a dry shampoo?

I have cornrows in right now and I clean my scalp with ORS Herbal Cleanse (dry shampoo) 1x a week and spray my hair with Giovanni VitaPro Fusion leave-in daily. I also oil my scalp (e.g.-- EVOO, coconut oil) as needed. I also tie my hair down with a satin scarf as soon as I get home everyday.:yep:

Get out of my regimen, girl! Those are the two products I was going to use. :yep: So I take it you like them, then?

I love ORS Herbal Cleanse!! One of my friends who keeps her hair braided recommended it to me and I have used it every time I have gotten my hair braided. It gets my scalp clean and I don't have to use too much. You can also use it to refresh your braids too.

I just started using the Giovanni Vitapro and so far so good. The part of my hair that I can feel is very soft and moisturized :yep: I'm very pleased with it so far.

Hmm..a dry shampoo. I had always been skeptical about them but I will give that a try this weekend.
