HELLO LHCF!

It has been 6 months since my BIG CHOP and do I have PICS FOR YOU!

This is where it all began:

I started from scratch. Tried my best to forget about what I'd learned from my Mom about "haircare", and took personal responsibility for what my hair felt and looked like. And got BOOTED from my salon in the process.:perplexed

I bought the basics at first:
-Shea Butter
-Coconut Oil
-Vegetable Glycerin
-Afro Pick
-V05 conditioners

I began to co-wash my "spriggies" every other day, and tried my best to keep my hair from knotting up as it grew. And that was when I found out MY HAIR HATES ~SHEA BUTTER~. On to the next.

But I LOVED my hair!:drunk:

So I tried other this and that, and couldn't put my finger on what it was missing. Then I found it!

Aww man, my hair did a 180! It was soft all day, and moisturized when I left it in ALL NIGHT. I use this every other day now, and I can count on my hair staying soft.

And I thought I had it made.

THEN I FOUND WHOLE FOODS!:yay:
I added these ingredients to my lil reggie:
-Better Quality Vegetable Glycerine (in my opinion)
-Avacado Oil
-Eucalyptus Oil (for my temple messages..My edges:nono:)
-Giovanni Styling Gel (YAY SAMPLE SIZES!)
-Big Ole Bottle of Castor Oil

And the BEST WHOLE FOODS PRODUCT OF ALL:

Ladies...I cannot RAVE about this enough. I just can't do it! I thought my Aussie was doing a great job, and I was happy. But a quarter sized amount of this completely changed my mind! It dries quickly, and leaves my hair shiny and touchable all day.

But enough of that...Here is my TWA at 6 months!

How I got here:

BE WARNED: THIS IS MY HAIRLINE IN THE BACK...

Tell me why my hair looks rubbed out like I have CRADLE CAP?!:lachen:
Yes, I have "vampire teeth", and "wolf neck", but I love it, and I can't bring myself to "line it up". I've agonized and wavered, but I love all my hair, even if I'm cracked on almost DAILY for not getting a shape up.

I'm glad I have hair back there AT ALL....Even if it's...Special.:look:

Using my Beloved ALBA LEAVE-IN and Coconut Oil for my first attempted Wash-N-Go (don't laugh!)

My First Ever Twist out! :woot:

And yes, I like my Twist Out better than my relaxed hair in uniform. I think it shows more of my personality. And I'm more Comfortable (YES MA'AM I put on "happy weight". Ize Married Now!) I couldn't be happier with my decision if I tried.

Thank You LHCF for all the help, and all the encouragement. Everyday hasn't been happy, but it's definitely been worth the journey!

Now, if you could please leave TIPS AND TRICKS of the TWA Trade if you have them...They'd be much appreciated.

Thanks for Checking me out!
