I want more textured hair so that I can rock braidouts, twist outs or just regular wash and go's which I have not been able to do with my relaxed hair. I also was the option of wearing my hair straight.

I am currently 13 weeks(14 next tue) post lye relaxer.

Can i switch with risk of damage/breakage from a lye relaxer to a texturizer without big chopping?

Would I have to use special products in my hair or can I continue to use the same hair products for relaxed hair?

Have any of you ladies successfully made this switch?

you can switch and gradually trim off the straight ends. a texturizer is a relaxer. the ones the come in the box are no lye mild with a lot of additives. you can still use a lye relaxer. just use a mild strength, cut it with an oil of choice, and leave it on for a short period of time. like 5-10 mins.

Thanks.

I will used the mild version of Hawaiian Silky No base relaxer and hope to achieve this but this time next year.
