Have your ends been trimmed lately?
Do you keep you ends well moisturized?
Always make sure your ends are smoothed out and laying nice and smooth on the roller before you roll your hair. HTH.

Only the back gets frizzy. Do you think that it's because the ends aren't wet by the time I get to set it?

Next time, try making sure the ends are wet, so that they stick to the roller smoothly.

I can only think of 2 reasons:
1. You hair is still damp
2. You do not have the hair smoothed on the roller properly

Smoothing your hair on the rollers, especially your ends may take a little practice at first but you'll be doing it right all of the time!
