Fractioned Coconut Oil Saved My Life

So I had trouble finding a good lightweight oil with loads of benefits but the only ones were EVOO and EVCO. Both of those too heavy for my hair. Finally after some research I stumbled across a blog that said for people who need light oils to try fractioned coconut oil. They do something to it where you don't get the greasy parts of the oil and it's a lightweight version of it! Which also means it doesn't solidify!! I hated that part about normal coconut oil.

I've been using it to seal my hair and for the first time NO greasy residue. Like it actually sunk in and moisturized. I can go much longer without re moisturizing my hair. I also use it to do the oil method while washing my face. I pair it with castor oil and my skin is always glowing!

I purchase some to make some oils mixes for diffusers and some body products and the bottle gave a lot of helpful hints for other things that you can use it for. Hair was one of them. :)

Your post is right on time! Thanks for sharing!

I recently watched a video about the importance of prepooing with an oil and not a water-based product. Coconut oil is frequently recommended, but like you, I haven't liked the heaviness and solidness.

I had actually taken the photo below so that I could look into some of these products. So your post is really helpful. Thanks!

yeah no problem! What store are you in? I like the look of that liquid coconut oil

Interesting since I ordered some fractionated coconut oil over a week ago, but it hasn't arrived as yet. I have used it before but decided to get it again to add to my growth oil blends. I ordered a 33 oz bottle :yep:. If I like it, I will order another bottle.

Since coconut oil actually penetrates the hair strand, can it be used as a leave in conditioner/moisturizer? Are leave in Conditioners/moisturizers actually even necessary? I ran out of conditioner and just used coconut oil on my wet hair yesterday. I feel like it came out much better than when I use a leave in conditioner/moisturizer.

I have not used conditioner in years and my hair/scalp are better for it.

I wonder if the allergens are removed during fractionation...
