I just trimmed 4". I've been hanging on to ends that needed to go. As they got thinner, more raggity, split and chewed up, I got more disgusted and wondered why my hair didn't look good. It seems everything I do to reach my hair goals ends in disaster.

Finally, I made the big decision to let go of those awful ugly ends. When I measured the cutting, I was surprised to find that some were 4" long. My hair looks and feels worlds better. Much shorter but much better, more healthy.

I need a good regime. I'M CONFUSED, BIG TIME, and I've turned into a Big Product Junkie. I have so much stuff, I don't know what to use. There are so many products that I can't find something I need when I need it. I buy things on impulse and never use it or use it once. If the board raves about some product, I'm usually out buying it within a few days. Some are good and I keep them but most just collect dust under the sink, in my closets, and in my product drawers.

diamondlady,

Sorry you had to lose the 4 inches good decision you made to get rid of ends before they travel. I also bought every product somebody rave about it was crazy buying everything. I would walk into a store heading straight for the hair product aisle.:D I joined "Use it up challenge" finally I can really see what works for my tresses. The rest of the products give away or mix into some concoction. So far this is what am leading towards as far as regimen

Sorry to hear about the cut, but I know what you mean I have been trying to longer hair only to get thicker hair. But we have to be patience with our hair and continue to take care of it and we will see the benefits. Good Luck:)

I read the title and instantly said D@mn.. I feel for you. But you'll get those inches back in no time.

Girl, read read read and try to get back to what you know works for your hair. You can never go wrong with DCing, mositurizing daily, and leaving your hair alone. HTH

Sorry to hear about your hair but I am sure that the healthier hair is well worth the chop...its easier said then done huh???

As for products I have quite a bit myself but what I found is simplier is better. Find a shampoo that works for you and leaves your hair the way you want it to and stick with it, until your hair changes. Find a great conditioning moisturizer and do the same. Great daily moisturizers, find if your hair likes cream based or water based and stick with it. I have been "caring" for my hair for 2 months now and I am just finding my staple daily moisturizer. I am sure that there are better shampoos and conditioners that I could use but right now my product regimine seems to be working.

Don't consider it as set back, consider this as a new beginning on your quest for healthier hair:)
