Fotki Updated

I update my fotki account. I just relaxed my hair with ORS Olive oil no-lye relaxer(I LOVE IT!!!!) I'm trying to stop using heat, but its hard with my hair being so short. I wet wrapped it and I love the way it came out, but i'm kinda concerned about the constant manipulation of combing and brushing my hair to wrap it every night. Has anyone found this to be a problem or am I worried about nothing. Any suggestions?

I used to wrap my hair the same direction every night a got thinning on one side so I just stopped wrapping altogether...but if you have to wrap...I would change directions of the wrap each night.

KiniKakes had a similar experience with the wrapping damaging her hair. She explains it in her fotki.

HTH!

Did you acheive the styles this month without heat? Looks good. Now, are you going to roll it to give it some body or do you just wrap and thats it? I haven't wrapped my hair in years so I really don't know, but on a style like yours (my hair used to be that length) I would add some curls to give it some body. Good job on the relaxing by the way :)

I was just about to say the same thing about wrapping. When I was your length, that is what I did, and sure enough one side did start to thin out. Alternate side or wear rollers to bed. Satin covered rollers. Also invest in Caruso Steam Rollers. I used them everyday when I was your length. Now, I mostly wear buns, but those Carusos are life-savers at every length.

By the way, your hair looks great!
