Formal Hair?

I have a formal-type event to go to and I thought rather than wear some damaging, gelled updo that requires a lot of heat that maybe a bun would be a pretty alternative. I know some exist, but I couldn't find any threads with pretty bun pictures/weblinks. Does anyone know any that I could refer to for pics, or any websites that I could go to. I was thinking something along the lines of that Alicia Keyes bun that was posted in the Entertainment Forum, and maybe a pretty flower attached to the side somewhere. Or if you have any suggestions period please respond!
