garnier fructis sleek and shine anti-humidity smoothing milk

it never fails that when i straighten it always rains, always:wallbash: so i straightened a few days after i wanted to and it still rained.

i went to a city outdoor festival and it started to get cloudy and humid. i knew my hair was going to revert from the humidity, but then it started to drizzle. i just knew my hair was going to puff up on the spot. i ran under a tent, but not before i got drizzled on, to wait for the rain to pass.

i kept feeling my hair to see if i had the beginnings of a fro and nothin!! i didn't have a mirror or anything, so when i got to church that evening i went directly to the bathroom and my hair was still shiny and straight!!! i was like :drunk: wow!!!

i know someone's going to ask so heres what i did:
wash/deep condition overnight
rinse in the morning
chi infra on wet hair
rinse
garnier anti humidity milk on wet hair
stretch into pony tails to dry
flat iron w/ potion 9

*i use a little paul mitchell's potion 9 on each section b4 i iron it. (this helps me get out the tangles smoothly for the comb chase and by the time i'm finished detangling, each section is pretty much dry before i flat iron it). potion 9 makes my hair really smooth and smell really good.

coconut oil on finished hair

I have the garnier fructis sleek and shine anti-humidity serum (not the milk) and I put it on my curly natural hair and it works wonders. No frizz or poffiness LOVE IT!

Thanks for the tips, Jdub, but do you mean Sebastian Potion #9? I used to use this a long time ago...it is so concentrated - you only need a teeny bit and i'd always over do it and it made my hair shed. :perplexed

I'll try Garniter SS, thanks!

oops, yeah sebastian potion 9

Really? If it's better than Sabino then I'm GLAD I didn't buy Sabino. I tried Garnier Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk and it did nothing for me. My hair reverted so fast.

I just ordered the Sabino Moisture Block....
but I wanted something that would not only keep my curly hair from reverting, but that would block the damage of using the flat iron.

I want to know this too.... ??

I ask b/c my primary reason for using the Sabino is the heat protectant - the fact that it stops reversion is a bonus. I'm more concerned with heat damage than frizz...

I think the smoothing milk has a cream-like texture, where as SMB is a serum..

yeah, I'm the same way. I was under the impression that this was a heat protectant but now I don't know anymore.

I used the sabino on my curly hair. I just washed, conditioned and the put it on my damp hair and added shea and coconut oil over top. So far.. so good! I'll let ya'll know tommorow how my hair does flat ironed since its raining today.

it is the truth, but whatever their ingredients are something in there makes me itch like crazy :( but when I was using their line I loved it besides the itching.

this would be nice if it proved to bea cheap alternative but I have some other leave in from garnier and I didn't too much care for it.

I think Garnier can be hit and miss and also works great for some but not all. I wouldn't mind trying their condtioners but as far as styling products....
