It's a personal choice. Some people are leery that someone might steal their pictures and post them on weird sites or something like that.
If you are going to feel uncomfortable about having your face out there, sure, block your face or just show angles where your face isn't fully shown.

I've had my artwork, poems and other writing snatched off of my websites and found them under other people's names. I don't want anyone right-clicking my pictures and photo-shopping weird stuff all over my face, etc. so I crop out my face on my side-shot pictures and mostly take photos of the back of my head.

You wouldn't believe what I thought this thread title said
Anyway, I block out my face mainly because I don't want anyone I know to see it and recognize me. Why? I don't really want anyone to know about this hair project of mine...the time/effort spent etc. I don't like the idea that someone I know could see it and be snickering about it to other people I know.
When I reach my goals, I'll feel confident enough to put my face there!
But then again, these ladies made some good points about sickos/thieves on the net...

Me too. Imma go ahead and say it...I thought it said pubic hair albums!!!!
My face looks ugly more than 99% of the time so I keep it simple with side and back shots

Yeah that is oh so sad. I don't have an album yet because i need a scanner, but I am just so paranoid about people on the net. When I get an album my face will definately be blocked out even though I hate the way it looks! People are just so crazy!!!!
