im new to shingling and i dont follow the directions exactly.....specifically, i dont use heat or stretch it in any way...i just let the coils fall where they may.
ive only done it twice....i used a mixture of proclaim activator gel and EQP recovery on soaking wet hair and just shook it out in the shower. ive got a recipe for a bootleg curly pudding that im gonna use next time.
i just did it anew each day....i didnt try to maintain it.

When I used to do it (sans heat) , I used Glass. I maintained it with spritzing with water.
