Do you find that the cornrow honeycomb method is better than braiding the hair straight back? i would like to keep my cornrows in for about a month with minimal manipulation.

In my opinion yes, because I only have the end of one braid to contend with. Also, when I have my hair in the honeycomb, I get a better fit because I don't have any bulk sitting at my nape.

no problem! actually both my LFs come with comb attachments, so there's no need for any other fastening method. to make doubly sure my wig doesn't come out, i do stick a bobby pin or two through the wig cap though.
