did this effect your flat iron results? I want to try the baking soda thing tonight but I want to flat iron too and was wondering if this was a good idea...TIA!

You have to use it a certain way, I think - and a lot of it, at once. I use it to clarify, and it seems to make my hair curlier.

Sorry, OP, I've no advice. I doubt that it will impact your flat-ironing, though....

some ladies mix it with a condish and leave it on for a little while and they have claimed that it loosens their curl paterrn slighty...
