Yes, to your question. I would suggest that if you are going to take this, do it in the context of a B complex, where you get the 400mcg amount. Generally, it works best that way. If you take a single, do not go above 1000-1200mcg. Yes, it's water-soluble, but can actually mess with your menstrual cycles. You might notice a change in terms of your own rhythm like many women did here with biotin. Studies are being done with it in terms of bringing on women's cycles which have been absent for years.
