I saw a few weeks ago that this sock bun was drying my hair out on the ends.. so I cut a kneehigh and covered the bun with it.. but I'm thinking it's not enough.. what are you guys doing with the Sally's sock bun to prevent this? I also tried saturating it a bit with oil... but don't know if it did any good to my hair...

i used to cover mine with a plastic bag.
just cut a hole on the bottom part and pull it through the middle of the doughnut then wrap it around. if the doughnut was made from a sock juts think of it as adding another sock over it.

I made a sock bun then got silky stockings and covered it very well. I'd moisturize well and wouldn't have a problem.

Oh I'm so gonna rock the plastic.. I'm going to go experiment with it now..maybe I can just saran wrap.. hmmmmmm... thanks ladies.. should I take the kneehigh off..lol..

I was just about to say that, :lachen:. Great minds think alike!

I want one fab! sounds a little tricky to make. I will purchase or eventually try to make this sock bun.
