Would this be feasible on my NL hair?? I hate to use the flat iron doing it and redoing it with the flat iron. If so, what size??

I would love for it to look like this though..

..I would probably have to add tracks though..Probably could use my clip ins..
Pics added of how it looks with flat iron

I can get a similar look from pin curls... but only after I have flat ironed it.

ETA: Flat ironed it straight and then pin curls over night.

not with flexis, but magnetic rollers will work. they have 1inch flexirods, but my NL hair wouldn't hold them. hth!

I've done it with flexi's I use the big size and instead of curling them under i roll them upward. It get's a cool 70's ish look

Flexi rods aren't going to give you that look. They give you more of a spiral. You can either do feathers with a flat iron or a curling iron and then pin curl it.

I think if you feather your hair with the flat iron and pin curl it that will work.

did u see Shtow's thread when she curled her dry-flatironed hair with flexi's. I cant remember how her hair turned out but it had a very nice curl to it considering it was done on dry hair.

eta: ^^oh she just posted her input

I figured I should do the whole pin curl thing. should I use a bonnet or a scarf?

^^^I think a scarf will do fine. It will hold the pincurls in place better, esp if one gets loose. I don't like how bonnets rub up against my hair line.

I use flexis and I get a nice Farrah Fawcett Feathered Flip going on...very 70's, which is my thing. I get TONS of compliments, and the bounce is incredible. I have bsl hair and i use 7/8 inch flexis.

Matter of fact, i've got them in my hair now...

Of course can get that look with flexis, just leave them in for a an hour or so to set the feather (not overnight or you'll get a harsh spiral). You would use the purple rollers or larger
