Flat Iron that also Dries Hair

I am not selling one but I am in the market for one to use on my daughter’s hair. I have been trying to combat a bad case of very dry scalp with my little girl and the dermatologist said no more blow drying at all. She gave me prescription Nizoral and some oil with peanut oil in it that cost $50 even with my insurance, used it only twice and her scalp is getting better already. She is 8 and she likes to have her hair straight sometimes and for me it's easier to style. She has 3A-3B hair and when it's wet it's wonderful but if I let it air dry, it shrinks. I have been flat ironing with my conair flatiron but I want a flat iron that will dry her hair as well as straighten it. I am bidding on a Maxi Glide on E bay right now but I wanted to see if you ladies know of anything else I can use.

Please, don't flat-iron her hair when it's wet. Why don't you give her a rollerset to stretch it out and let that dry and then flat-iron? It doesn't even have to be a full fledged roller set. Ponytails with holders drenched in oil and then rollerset the ponytails.

It works for my hair and my daughter's hair.

I just got a maxiglide from shopathometv.com for 79 last week. they were offering free shipping and I thought that was a good deal cause sometimes on ebay they get you on the shipping. My daugher (9yr old) has long bushy type 3 curls. When her hair is wet she won't let me blow dry (more like I don't want to hear from a tenderheaded little one whining for half an hr. :)
so I just let it air dry. It really only takes less than 30 mins or so.

She LOVED the maix glide. It really got her hair nice and straight.
I tried it but I still prefer my CHI iron.

I think con-air makes a flat iron that you can use on wet hair. It is called the wet to dry hair straightener. It has spaces in it so that it dries the hair as it is straightening it.They cost about $20.I saw them in target, Rite-aide and Duane reade. I'm 100% sure that you will find it at 1 of these places.

There's a post with a poll about "What is the best flat-iron". You should read it. I think you'll have a lot of questions answered for you.

I have an FHI iron. I posted in this thread that you can flat-iron from wet to dry with it. I've tried it just to see how it worked. I LOVED IT!!! I don't do that though, but it's nice to know I can.

Go check out that post.
