I looove my ionika, I've tried lots of different brands and this is my fav. It's fairly cheap at about $50 bucks. Lots of cute colors and designs too.

I love the cloud nine wide iron. Its lighter and smoother than my old FHI heat wide iron and i can straighten my hair line without burning myself.

this iron looks really good. i wonder if it will work for tighter coiled hair?

A hairdresser introduced me to the cloud nine brand when i has getting my hair done at a salon which specializes in afro hair etc. She said they only use that brand of irons in their salon so i assume it would work well.
