I attended a Christmas party last weekend and straightened my hair for the occasion and this weekend I'm due to relax my hair. Well, it's still sort of straight at the roots and I can't really see much of my new growth. What can I do to revert the hair so that I don't relax beyond the new growth and end up with overprocessing?

I'm thinking of spraying my roots with a water to revert the hair, but want to see what you all think.

Thanks ladies!

I was going to suggest the same thing. Spray your roots with some water and just make sure that your hair is fully dry before you do the relaxer.

Stretching longer would be the safest way. But you can try washing or cowashing a few times to see if that helps.

The day before my relaxer, I spray my roots with Aphogee Green Tea Reconstructor and let it dry. It reverts my newgrowth, and gives my hair extra strength to withstand the relaxing process. My hair is never over or under processed.

Not to late to wash. I would wash no later then Wednesday and don't put anything in my hair. I would just bun until the weekend when I relax. I don't like to put anything on my new growth the last wash before relax day.
