I wanted to go back into my protective styles but didnt feel like dealing with the lace wigs and wanted to know if I could do my own sew in before I invested in expensive hair. I picked up a 2 packs of Brandys Pro 10 hair. My hair is colored but the 30/33 mix matches it perfectly.

I know my braids are ghettotastic! Im not the best braider. I left out a horseshoe and the perimeter so I could pull it up in a ponytail.

After sewing in. Added Fantasia IC gel to already flat ironed hair and set on flexirods.

oh this is GORGEOUS!!!!

The last time i tried the pro10 hair, i didnt really like how fast it degenerated into a tangled mess after one or two washes. But your install looks really good. I can't believe this is your first time

Good Job!! and I love how you finished it off w/ the flexirods w/ the perfect-sized curls and the color matches very well!! very nice!!!

Thanks ladies! I was real nervous since Im going to breakfast with my grammas church in the morning. You know how church folk talk about you if you not on point! lol.

But Im telling you if you take your time its really not that hard. For me the hardest part is the cornrolling.

MA2010- I used Deep Curl in 12inch

tada1 - Im dreading washing this cause my braids arnt too tight and this is synthetic hair (no matter how much they try to sell me on how *human like* it is). Ill be happy if I can get a good 4 weeks out of it.

You did a great job!! This was your first time??? Looks really cute. Make sure you keep your hair moisturized and you are good to go!

you have no idea how much inspiration you gave me. it doesnt matter how your braids look in the inside  i want to try my own install now

It's cute, good ideal the flexirods. You sewed that in by yourself without help? Girl, can you say Memorial E.R. Good job though.

Yes i knew my braids were gonna be jacked up but I figured they're not gonna be seen so "oh well".

Besides I havnt found a stylist yet that doesnt braid my hair too tight. And saving $100+ bucks doesnt hurt either lol.

Can you say inspiration?! I SO wanna be able to do this, but I just learned how to cornrow so they still look kind of jacked :lachen:

I love the size of the curls, the blending, the color....everything! Kudos!
