First Straightening since the BC!!!

Hey guys!!

Today I decided to straighten my hair just for the heck of it.. I'm a little under one month away from my 1 year bc date so with that being said I probably won't straighten again until the fall.

I clarified with giovanni 50:50 shampoo and then I deep conditioned overnight with aussie 3 minute miracle.

To straighten I applied infusium 23 as a leave in and chi iron guard before using the tension method to do a preliminary blowdrying. Then i used my denman paddle brush and blowdryer to further straighten my hair. From there I used my Sedu Revolution flatiron set at 340 degrees to straighten my hair using the comb and chase method I added a little more chi iron guard and used one and only argan oil (serum) to while straightening.

I've attached a photo of my hair about 2 weeks after my bc, my hair after blowdrying, my hair after flatironing and how my hair was styled last night.

I think it came out pretty good for my first time but I'm still working on not having curly ends when flatironing... also I'm PRAYING that I don't have any heat damage when I wash this out I was really reluctant to straighten for that reason :perplexed...

Enjoy u guys!!! :spinning:

I was too busy looking at your skin. What you use your for you face?

Oh and yeah, your hair looks good too.

Very pretty! I know every head is different but I feel like we, as naturals, are convinced heat damage is always lurking just around the corner. :drunk: It sounds like you were careful with your hair, you only used 340 degrees and your hair looks very healthy, I doubt you have heat damage.

It looks great. You have me itching to straighten but I'm just now getting over my heat damage from Dec. Lets us know if it reverts
