First post, first time using Maxiglide + PIC

Hello Ladies,
So this is my first post . I joined LHCF in September and have been reading all of the valuable information you provide . For the last couple of months I have been battling DRY and tangled hair. It had gotten so bad I couldnt even get a comb through to access the damage to my hair. I did end up cutting some of it :wallbash: . I didnt give up though and just kept researching the site. I decided to try PC conditioner. After just one use my hair felt alot better . It took about two weeks of moisturizing with NTM leave in and shea butter nightly for me to able to comb. Last week I recieved the Maxiglide XP so I wanted to try it out . I shampooed with Aphogee , used the 2 min re-constructor, and deep conditioned with silk elements moisturizing treatment. My hair felt great ! :yep: I used about 4 pumps of proclaim foam wrap lotion and dryed with hair hanging straight down under hooded dryer. I set the Maxiglide to 3 ( I am also 3.5 months post ) and I couldnt believe the results ! So thanks to you all .

I tried to maxiglide for the 1st time on Friday. I stopped not even halfway in. My roots were giving me the blues. Can you give me some tips. Did you blowdry the roots? I'm 22 weeks post and my hair was not having it. All types of hair was getting stuck in the teeth and coming out.:perplexed What's your secret?

Hi NorthernCalGal,

What what I would say helped me was :
- I deep conditioned making sure that I applied conditioner to my new growth but careful not to get it on my scalp. This made the new growth very moisturized .
- I made sure my hair was fully detangled
- If you have the miniglide you can try straightening your roots first
- Dont clamp down on the handle :nono:
- make sure the sections arent too thick
- I took my time

Hope this Helps !
