First gray hair

Hello everyone. I will be 30 in 6 mths and I've just found my first gray hair today(at least I think it is). I yanked it out so quickly that my head is still smarting a bit. Weird though..now that I'm looking at it. It's an inch of brown from the root then white for 3-4 inches then the rest brown(I don't color my hair)...it's like it can't decide what it wants to be. <font color="purple">Is this normal? - sorry if I sound like a bleeding idiot if it's a well known fact?

It's normal. When I first started getting grays, some of them would be black at the roots &amp; gradually fade to white. It was like they were being drained of color from the inside out. Eventually, they started growing in already white.

Don't panick love, you may be experience some premature graying due to some stressor in your life. Sometimes diet deficiencies can cause the change, and when your body's back to normal, the color grows out its original color. Unless you begin to see more, I wouldn't start investing in Clairol just yet.
