First Dominican Blowout

Just wanted to let you know that I had a so/so experience. It was good in that my hair is straight without chemicals. Bad because they were pushing a relaxer like crack the whole time. They also tried to comb my hair out with a rattail comb.
I am going to try and master the roller set with a flat iron for straightening so I don't have to go through that again.

FYI-pictures are in my album. It stood up to Orlando humidity and constant rain.

The heat can be a little intense. I was sweating when she was done. Maybe it just depends on the person. You should ask those in your town to see how their experience was.

I don't have a long standing regimen since I just simplified it.
But here goes...

Poo & Conditioner- Mane and Tale (regular)
Leave In-Motions Leave In
Oil/Moisturizer- B&B Castor Oil (no petrolatam or mineral oil) or Africa's Pride oil. (very light since I have fine hair)
Vitamins-well nothing special just womens once a day and a Rx iron pill.

I wash 1-2/week using above. Tend not to blow dry. Sleep on satin pillow case &/or satin cap. Deep condition about every other weekend.

The place I went to was technically in Deltona, its on the way to Daytona. I live at the top of Seminole county so I am 20 minutes away. The one in altamonte was good I heard....Mr. Eli's. Ask for Felecia.

Well, I am in love with your hair! I use a flat iron to straighten my hair ocassionally. The trick is to use very small parts. I used to be afraid of rattail combs but it's the only way that my rollersets come out super-smooth. I hope that you master it so you can save money!

Rat tails are used yes, but not on my untangled hair. I only use it to part my hair when I set it.
