FINE/THIN Hair = NO or YES to braids

I have a lot of strands but they are thin and braids thinned my hair out really bad. At first my friend was telling me it just looked thin because I wasn't used to seeing my own hair after 2 months, but I knew the truth. I even took a picture of it and compared it to a picture before braids. Anyways, as you can tell from my siggy, I'd say NO.

I have thin hair and when I wore any type of braids with relaxed hair it made my already thin hair thinner. Finally, I realized what the problem is. Thin hair is delicate and fine to begin with and relaxed too? You're asking for a disaster. My hair is au natural with no chemicals for 5 years now and my hair no longer thins out when it's braided with extensions.
