Has anyone gotten baby hairs at the hair line on the sides or front by perms or braids? Is there anyway to get them thick any supplements or is that permanent?
i've had some major bald spots along my hairline for months. I got them from wearing braids too tight around my edges. For the longest time, I couldn't figure out how to make them grow back in nice and thick. I didn't even have the fine baby hairs. The baby hairs may be a start of the hair growing in for you.
What I had to do was stop wearing any hairstyle that put stress on my hairline. Now, my edges are filling in nicely. I think what has contributed to this is time, conditioner washes and lavender oil. I mist my hair with a mixture of water, glycerin and lavender oil daily. I also will rub lavender into my edges from time to time.
you can buy lavender oil at health food shops. Its an essential oil which is used for a variety of different reason. I also use it on my hair with vit e oil.
some other essential oils that you may like are:
ying yang oil
tea tree oil
peppermint oil
rosemary oil
eucalyptus oil
They all are supposed to stimulate growth. You may want to mix them with carrier oils like jojoba, coconut or extra virgin olive oil. They may be too strong to use alone. It just depends on what works for you. You can get oils from the health food stores or online.
