Finally I decided to do the big chop, after 6 long months of transitioning (and a failed attempt of transitioning before) and I feel so good. I was getting tired of hanging on to my relaxed hair and just decided to chop it off once and for all. I've been transitioning with wigs, weaves, kinky twists and yarn braids. At first I wanted to go to a professional and do it but this big chop was more than cutting off some hair, it was a new beginning for me in so many ways and I decided to do it myself and I'm so glad I did.

I'm excited to try new products and techniques and go through another phase of my hair journey.

Here are some photos:

You, my dear, are a beautiful woman and your "joie de vivre" shines through. Happy New You, I love it! Congrats!!

Lookin' great!! It's amazing how natural hair suits people more than relaxed (to me at least) I guess that's why our hair is the way it is in the first place!
