Usually I have issues post relaxer with my hair being dry for days after a relaxer no matter what relaxer I use or what I do.

This time I did some things differently and it went way better.

Last night I detangled (gently) and put my hair into five chunky braided sections.

Today I applied my relaxer section by section according to how my NG feels. Back first, right temple, etc.

Then I made the following CON mix and it is THE BOMB. The packets that come with relaxers are never enough to do a good job.

1 packet Africa's Best deep con. (came with the relaxer)
1 Ors Replenishing pack
Few squirts V05 Con
Few squirts EVOO
Three spoonfuls of Lekair Cholesterol con (to thicken up the mix)
A few squirts of Just for me Oil lotion moisturizer stuff that I had laying around.

My hair is still wet but it feels fantastic which never happens. It's soft, strong. I had way less breakage when I rinsed out my con and detangled in the shower.

I do think I might've wound up with straighter hair than intended but I'll have to wait until it dries.

Growth update pics to follow soon as I find my webcam cord.

I have a couple of comparison shots. Damp freshly texlaxed hair. I'll be adding some to my fotki too.

No product in my hair yet at all.

The first pic is from Feb when I'd just CO washed and air dried.

My ends are still a little thin but, they are pretty healthy. I can't get a pic but YAY my nape has retained more growth than it has in years.

Now if I could speed it up a little I might actually hit SL by the end of the year. But YAY actual progress/retained length. My hair used to break off about cheekbone length or so. Woot.
