my lasey dasey broke about two months ago and i've been washing & setting my hair and night so in the morning its dry and i warm press it (last touch up wast in jan) well my hair is back to the silky state it was 2yrs when i was in school (didnt use hair dryers then either) i'm jus mad that it took my lasey dasey being broken (only had it for a month) for me to realize what made him hair silky back then, i've tried everything relaxing my hair stick str8, flat ironing, deep con 3x a week all in effort to regain the silkiness, when all along it was my hair dryer doing the damage despite the fact i was always using it on a cool setting anyway sorry to bore anyone but i jus felt like sharing.

It's good you found out or you would have been unwittingly damaging your hair. I tried rollersetting my hair and it turned out to be a big frizz ball mess, I then washed my hair and did a braidout on wet hair and let dry overnight. My results were silky, shiny and defined hair with little or no frizz. So I understand what you mean.

yea i'm happy. when i first started settin my hair it use to come out real frizzy as well but then i made sure my hair was soaking wet and i use keracare silken seal serum (kinda expensive...$26, its cheaper at irby's) i plan on stretching for 12 mos so i guess wen it gets to the point where i cant set anymore then i'll try the braidout method and c how that works out

My hair is so thick i would still wake up with my hair soaking wet. It just take to long to dry.

I love the braid out tho. People always ask about my hair while in braid outs. But I dont do my whole head. I havent tried that yet. I just do my ponytail. I love it.

OT: So you are making a single braid in the back for your braidout? Do you do it on wet hair or dry?

Usually, it's such a blessing when these things happen. :yep:
