Feel an attack

Does anyone else feel like there is a major attack on the Church? I've noticed that lately in the Church there has been such a fine line between worldiness and Christianity.

Seems almost like this attack has been going on for a while, but it's coming to a head. Is it me or am I just sleepy and thinking way too hard.?

Look at it from another angle: what must the Father do to get the Bride ready for His Son? The same thing He has always done to correct Israel every time she "played the harlot." What do you do to purify gold and silver? You hold it in the fire. How were wheat kernels separated from the chaff? They were beaten off the stalks and tossed into the air (winnowing).

Jesus tells us exactly what is to happen in Matthew 24. Whoever believes the ones Our Father called onto Himself are supposed to have an easy time of it are not telling the truth. Christians in the West have had it too good for too long, causing deception and lukewarm followers. Do not look at this as a bad thing; we need the correction!

True, very true.

OK...:look: I asked God today if I was the only one seeing the things happening in the church(es). Had a "frightening" experience last night with a pastor trying to be "right" so much that he would misrepresent the Word of God than admit he was wrong. My heart have been so grieved I've been praying about what has become so prevalant in the churches. Nymphe I dared to say that God does punish his people when they sin and almost got my reputation ruined :lachen:Sorry about the laugh but the pastor went on a rant and even started foaming at the corners of his mouth :lachen:
(Abba Father pleaase forgive me) I didn't find it funny then but your comment actually released me from the heaviness I felt.

Thanks you two, you were answers to my prayer. The church is under attack but many are guilty of opening the doors for evil to run rampant but God will deal with His children and with their enemies.

I don't see any attack on the church. i see compromise, failure and sin within the church all of which are permitted responses.

there are all kinds of lies from the pulpit to the pew & when people try to correct it or bring it to the forefront they are accused of attacking the church or the messenger.

God will remove his remnant from the current church at all costs.

1 Peter 4:17 (Amplified Bible)

17For the time [has arrived] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will [be] the end of those who do not respect or believe or obey the good news (the Gospel) of God?

It is not just you. This is a unique time for the saints as the Word is truly being fulfilled right before our eyes.

Mark Chapter 13:5-8
And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
6: For many shall come in my name, saying , I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 7: And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 8: For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

As you stated, it has been simmering for a while. For a while it seems the enemy has taken up residence in the church, and you'll probably have noticed that they have been the most faithful. What they would call in first or second Thessalonians "Busybodies". And the number of them that fill the church can disillusion the leaders if they are not as strong as they need to be.

But what I've noticed since the beginning of the year is God has sent bold, praising, and worshiping Holy Ghost filled vessels to these various churches. They are few in the midst of wolves in sheeps clothing. But I tell you when they come in and bring the Holy Spirit down and speak in tongues that atmosphere changes. This is just my perception/opinion, but I feel it's coming to a head because of this.

It's truly a spiritual war, and it isn't going on outside, it's going on inside. Continue to fast, pray, and fill yourself with the Word. Read all of Mark Chapter 13 for the rest of what Jesus instructs about this time 'The Tribulation'. Be encouraged and remember the battle is not yours, it's the Lords.

This is so interesting. We talk about this a lot at home and at my church about how certain churches in my area bring the world in to accomodate unbelievers. The pastor of my grandmother's church did the eulogy at my dad's funeral and he said in so many words the way to get to heaven or sit at the Lord's table were his words was to be good, do this and that for God and I'm like, hello Jesus is the way to the Father per John 14:6. My sister also visit my grandma's church and again no plan of salvation mentioned and barely heard Jesus' name mentioned. Another church in my area, go in their church and it's like an airport. I listen sometimes on tv to this pastor and nothing at all about Christ. They have too much worldiness in there. Satan knows this and have a good time knowing that he has succeeded in bringing his world into the mix. It's sad.
