Ladies please share your favorite styler. I am going broke trying to find one that isn't drying but provides good hold :ohwell:

Fav Styler-
Hair type-
How do you use it-

If I want to have moisture and hold, I have to layer products on slightly dampened hair.

My favorite combinations are:

SheScentIt Seyani Butter + SheScentIt Papaya Curly Soufflé

SheScentIt Seyani Butter + ECO Styler Krystal Gel

Jakeala Amla Shea Butter + ECO Styler Krystal Gel

I am 4A with fine strands; I mostly wear braidouts.

I recently bought Oyins shine & define and I really like that for my twist outs. The consistency of the product initially threw me off b/c I was expecting something that had a gel/cream type consistency. It's a cream, and sometimes it looks like it needs to be stirred.

However, I've used it on damp hair over my APB cream for my twist outs and I notice that my hair the next day has great definition but NO crisp/crunch/dryness. It has less of that 'hold' feel compared to the Darcy's gel. When I opened the jar I was skeptical b/c I'm thinking hmmm, this appears to be a water based cream and I'm applying my apb cream also. The combo works, although it kinda feels like your using 2 creams. When my hair dried it was softer than when I use the Darcy's gel.

Funny, I was going to reach out and tell you to try it since I'm sure you can get it locally. I got mine from a small shop in BK, but I wonder how long the shop owner had it in the store b/c the shelf life of the product isn't long, it does have water and aloe in it. I want to buy another jar of it, I will prob order it directly from Oyin next time.
