Wish I had a picture but Ive been rocking the SAME wash and go for the past three days which NEVER happened before without ONE re-wet.
I used the IC Fantasia Sparklelites on Sunday and have used the Curls Lavish curls product every morning and scrunched it in my hair DRY without water before going to work and my curls look perfect!
I love not going to work with wet hair!

Luv thr mouse on your hair!. Nice definition. Can you be a doll and let me know what the initials of the mouse stand for - HE TT? TIA
Okay, I definitely like mousse better than gel. Using gel, my thin hair was weighed down and I had to manipulate it a lot to get some volume. It was also crunchy so I had to scrunch it with oil (jojoba). By day 3 and 4 it looked nice, but it took a couple of days.

Now I need to stock up on HE TT mousse, and not for $5.43 (bought it at Duane Reade in Manhattan). Next time I will stop off at Walmart.

Naturalmanenyc, thanks for sharing a pic of your mousse results. I want to try to do a twistout with mousse. Time to experiment. Gotta pick up ecostyler gel also.

I love Eco Styler! Just bought it last night for my wet bun, and that stuff on application just smoothed my hair down easily and made nice waves! I love it! I got a huge jar at Sally's it did not make my hair hard, rather soft and managable! I am happy :)

I think the key thing with Eco Styler is to make sure you add a really good leave-in to your hair before you add it. I twill prevent your hair from getting hard and crunchy.

For now I like the IC Fantasia Styling Gel a lot better than the Eco Styler Gel. I will try it over a moisturizer when I use it again which will be a while because my hair has extension braids in it right now.

Ecostyler is the best gel to me. I used to use IC Fantasia and swear by it. Eco the clear one gives me incredible shine and hold without being crunchy. It's important with eco to pair it with either oil or a leave in conditioner in order to avoid crunchiness or flakes. I usually use olive oil underneath or a leave in conditioner.

coming out of lurkville to add my change...

i recently discovered silk elements liquid styling gel (available at sally's) and have fallen in lurve!!:yep: it goes on smooth, defines my curls, adds shine/sheen, and does not get crunchy. once dry, my hair is soft and doesn't feel like i have anything on it at all. and the best part...i can rock the same wng for 3 days! just lightly spritz with water and fluff with amla oil.

i was using kccc and while it was okay (other than taking forever to dry), i couldn't get over the price. :nono: i bought two tubs and refused to buy a third.

i've also tried ecostyler, but it didn't really define my curls and i just didn't like the feel of it on my hair...it felt heavy-like.

btw...i'm 4a/b if that helps.

Thanks for the rec...I love my Eco but am willing to try this. Especially since Sally has a great return policy.

Hmm...interesting. I'm curious to know if any others have tried this Silk Elements Liquid Styling Gel.

I voted other because what had happened was... I was in the health food store buying wheatgerm and tripped upon AO sea buckthorn curl activator. My PJism kicked in and I bought it. I was scared because I paid $9.98 for a 4 fl oz bottle. It was well worth it!!! My curls pop and stay moisturized. I will be using this sparingly from now on.

I used IC Gel when I was transitioning and it was productive. I spent most of my transition bunning so it was cool. After I BC'd I used IC Gel and it didn't seem as effective. Eco Gel has been my best friend! I use it daily!
