Thanks so much for answering me. I am 4a and I don't know if they would really straighten my hair. Plus it seems like the roller would get cold if you have to wait for the other ones to heat up. Like, you put one hot roller in then put the cap on and you have to wait for the other rollers one by one.

Am I understanding you correctly?

I doubt that the rollers get "cold", but the way I figure it, by the time you roll your entire head, the first rollers might be ready to come out. I think they retain the heat for quite a few minutes. But don't take my word for it, I've never tried these yet! I've just done a lot of research. There's another thread about how to use steam rollers. It seems that some ladies roll their hair and let them stay in for 15-30 min., then remove them all and style.

Ok, thanks. Sorry for so many questions but how do you think they would do on 4a natural hair?

That, I don't know. I think they're designed for "straight" hair, so to speak. You could probably use them if you blow dried your natural hair first...

i just bought and tried the caruso rollers. Well from what I have experience, you really do have to let your hair set for at least 30 mins so it won't be frizzy, and I need to purchase smaller rollers. The small plus rollers will do the trick until my hair grows longer. It seemed a little more time comsuming than curling my hair with an iron. It is also wise to use hair oil and end papers. That helped a lot. The curls feel really soft. When I get some money to buy some more rollers I will try this again.

I just bought the Vidal Sasson roollers at walmart, mine is different than the picture on page 1 of this thread, but I love it it was $14.99 it sets fast and gives a really nice curl, it's making my hair that is getting unruly because I need a perm badly look really good. I'll try to get a picture up of it , oh and it has 20 rollers it heats in 20 seconds

Caruso! I haven't tried anything else but I love them because I don't have to sleep in uncomfortable rollers to have curls. They curl my hair so fast...

I purchased the Conair instant heat ion shine hot rollers. They are okay, but the curls doesn't seem too hold. If you're use the smaller rollers, it will come out some what tight but quickly falls to loose curls. If you prefer loose curls, then you would probably like the conair. I haven't tried any other. I prefer it when i wash my hair and set it while it still wet. Here's a picture of how it turned out.

I paid about $25.00 for them (There's a coupon at Sally's for $4 off). They come with 30 rollers I believe. The name is Caruso Molecular Hair Rollers.

I just picked one up and tried and man they work fast and the curls will hold. Anything to keep from sitting under the dryer for a long time. I got the $4.00 off too!! Nice!

Yeah, I realize that I like that one better than my other one. This one sets better and does not take as long. When the roller is over the steam less of it seems to escape from the roller or something. I don't know it just seems to be working better for me than the cheaper, smaller model I have.

Pretty Devin!

WOW! Your hair is SO pretty!

I love my Caruso's too. The set lasts so long and they leave your hair moisturized.

ETA; I had a Conair set that was a knock-off of Caruso's a long time ago, and with those you had to add salt to the water. HATED THEM! They made my hair feel dry. I decided to get the Caruso's and love them.

Do those look like the Caruso's with the container for water and some sponge rollers with clips?

Do these rollers work on natural hair? How often do you use them and how long do you keep them in your hair? I'm think about starting to roller set my hair, just bought a carel soft bonnet dryer from Sally's, haven't used it yet.

That is the one I have. I paid $20 bucks for it at Bed, Bath & Beyond. I only use it for spiral curls.

I'm lost. Are these used on wet hair, like after you wash and condition, or are you guys using these rollers on already dried hair?

Just chiming in to say I love my Caruso's. I bought them after reading another thread on this board. Got them at Sally's with coupon, but it was a good investment. I have gotten lots of compliments on the curls they created. One time I set my hair with them DH thought I had went to the salon to get the set. I told him I did it myself! :)
