Fasting and Your cycle

I began a fast a few days ago, and its been great.
I am fasting from sun up to sun down, no food or drink.
Yesterday,Aunt flow visited, and I do not know if I am to stop and wait for her to go away and then resume of if I should continue .
I am not too sure about this.

Biblically speaking, there is nothing that specificialy guides the Christian woman on fasting during her menstrual. And since the purpose of fasting is to "afflict your soul", and most women's cycles aren't a pleasurable time, I see nothing wrong with continuing if you feel led of the Lord to continue.

The day I started the Master Cleanse (used as a fast), I got my period. My period actually stopped on its own. This may happen to you, depending on how restrictive your fast is. If not, try to drink plenty of liquids to replenish yourself.

For health reasons, you may want to stop. I only know of Muslim women being forbidden to participate is religious pratices, ie fasting, when they are on their periods.

I don't know why you're fasting. But when I done a detox fast, I got my period, and was told by the health people on the site that it was a form of detox and it went away for 3 days.

You should not have a problem doing both. Are you fasting and praying together? If so, God will cover you even the more.

I used to purposely fast on my monthly for detoxing purposes. My monthly was lighter and I didn't have cramps.

Thank you.
I was fasting and praying for answers and clarity.
I was lighter, and it went away on its own within 3 days.
I am now back.
