I love Family Radio...years ago..it got me through a very tough time
A gf recommended it when I was going through a break up.
I kept it on 24/7~
and my family listened to it before I did
IT'S A GREAT STATION with..The Good the Bad the Ugly
wonderful features
THE GOOD
>The Christian Working Woman..
a 5 minute motivational message for Christian working
women...early in the morning
>A Bible Break..The Bible verse of the day
>The Marriage Minute....
a 3 minute motivational mesage of Christian Marriage
>Dave and Claudia Arp.. 5 minute suggestions on relationships and family
>Family Life...a wonderful anecdotal Christian message on family
>A program for Dads!
>Out loud 30 minute readings of books written by Christian Authors
chapter read daily by one of two alternating hosts
until a book is finished then..a new book is started
>Saturday's Morning Kid's Programming
>30 minutes of straight reading the Scripture
>Walk with the King...a ten minute sermon/message
>Evensong....beautiful hymns of worship alternating with readings of scripture
>Patterns in Music 30 minutes...
they do a segment of hymns with on two contrasting or simliar themes.
say the first half is on....prayer and the second half is answered prayer
and the music reflects that
These are all featured programs in that they are
announced
have a regular host
have an allocated time evey day
and in between the programs are hymns!
All of the above reflect superb programming
THE BAD
Harold Camping Junior is the "minister" who perpetrates the end times and the
exact date and is AGAINST THE CHURCH...cites biblical references to support both of these views and preaches heavily from that standpoint.
He is also of the chapel and mindset of "Most of you,even though you are Christian,
are STILL going to the lake of fire,while I,however,am not!"
While hell and the enemy ARE realities...that is HC's only reality..
not God's love ....not even as much Christ dying for us and as our Savior
He hosts a live call in talk-radio show where people can bring texts of the bible they find confusing or to challenge him or to congraulate him
THE UGLY
In the past...there was more diversity in the Chrisitians featured and one could just ignore Harold Camping JR......and his broadcasts
but as founder of FR..and as he gets older and closer to the other side of the life he must be 90....the radio plays FREQUENTLY taped parts of his shows and sermons..it's becoming more Harold Camping Bible Radio so it's harder to escape that difficult rhetoric
I HIGHLY reccomenrd a listen though
IN so many ways..it remains a wonderully inspirational forum for Christians
Try to listen to WALK WITH KING!!!!
