So how long does it take to set those things up vs. braiding the hair normally?

I know that is kinda what I am wondering. It seems like it takes a while even for the people doing someone else's hair. It might be helpful if you are trying to do your own braids, but I can just see myself now with hair being pulled to make a braid from every which way. I would jack it up.
