I noticed on the EP sight they say never to cut wefts at the top....what does this mean? If you can't cut them, how can you size it to fit your head lol I'm new to this and I need to buy by tomorrow. I bought a weft and did not realize it was only one line of hair. That made me so mad  I thought I was getting a full set for that price. Oh well. I'd like to buy another wih clips (these are skin wefts), but since the length is not customizable, I would need to cut. Can anyone help?

i don't know anything about skin wefts but for the regular wefts, you can cut them. they advise you not to cut because you can compromise the integrity of weft which leads to shedding. but let me tell you that extensions plus is knowwwwwn for their wefts of steel and I can attest to that! I've had mine cut up before and the shedding I get is like 1-3 hairs every 10 days or something lol!

femmedusiecle Thanks. Did you use a sealant? That statement on their website confused the heck out of me lol. If I get the machine wefts I'll need to get clips.

Bump! Anyone else? Any experience cutting with skin wefts ...

I didn't use a sealant. As long as they continue making their wefts the way they do, I don't think a sealant will be necessary.

i never used the skin wefts. i only used the zigzag wefts and they hold up "ok". they don't shed. my stylist did cut them, but tried not to as much as possible. i never sealed them or anything like that.

the zig zag wefts tend to fray over time, but having said that, i reused the same bundle of hair with a few pieces added here or there for 2 years almost....and then, i gave the hair away because it was too short to match my own hair. after 2 years of installs it could still be used.

I've used them for years, and I don't think you have to worry about cutting the weft. I don't know too much about their skin weft, but for the other wefts, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
