What is your hair expiration? I ask this because I have observed a pattern with my hair. After a certain amount of time my hair starts acting up. I read in Shamboosie's book that the effects of conditioners are only meant to last for a couple days and afterwards you have to recondition. I know for me a week is my time. I go for weekly wash and sets. Well the last two weeks I havent been able to go and my hair is defintely telling me how it feels. By the 5 or 6th day my hair is ready to go. I was supposed to get a wash and set monday but something came up. monday would have made a week. now my hair is misbehaving

so i am going to do a rinse and then bun it till i go for a wash and set on friday.

anyone else know the expiration for their hair? God bless you all.

I think your hair gets used to being clean and moisturized. I used to be able to go for almost a month w/o washing or rinsing my hair and be fine, but now that my hair is used to being CO washed two to three times a week, it'll let me know when I've gone too long.

I understand exactly what you are saying. I would say may hairs lasts about 4 days. After that is does that seperation thing. I guess from using too much product.

For me and my daughter it's 3 days - 4 max. I think it's just a matter of training your hair. In Shamboosie's book and most others they recommend not going for any longer then a week.

I used to last at least a week but now since I condition wash or rinse often, only three days.

I thougt I was the only one with this problem. I think my expiration date is 3-4 days after washing, but I try to make it last a a full week if I can.

I even experience this when I don't use products on my hair.

I agree. I used to go once a week...sometimes 2...but my hair is so used to no more than 3 days max that it definitley(my scalp itches) lets me know. I even feel relief when the water hits it.

I dont know how I used to make it before. My hair is angry. I am trying to calm it down till I get a wash and set.

I used to think I was the one who decided when I was going to wash my hair or do whatever but my hair let me know who is really running the show. My hair is determined to get its way or it will show out. So I must obey.

God bless you all.
